Lighting Trade Show and Conference Sets Records
The 23rd LIGHTFAIR International (LFI) 2012 in Las Vegas recently set new all-time records.
Running for five days every Spring, LFI is the world’s largest annual architectural and commercial lighting trade show and conference; LFI is sponsored by the International Association of Lighting Designers (IALD) and is recognized as one of the largest trade shows in the United States.
This year, LFI 2012 covered a record 206,800 net square feet with 505 participating exhibitors, including 93 first-time exhibiting companies and 87 international manufacturers. Including representatives from 73 different countries, attendance at this year’s show broke all previous records with 24,121 registered attendees.
The LFI Conference offered 72 unique courses and more than 220 hours of educational programming covering topics in daylighting, LEDs, retrofitting, OLEDs, light design, controls and energy efficiency. The LFI Innovation Awards received 228 submissions in 14 categories for products making their debut on the 2012 trade show floor. Winning entries exemplified the best of the best in lighting with innovative thinking design.
